When you’ve already built one of the most unique belt-driven watches around, what do you do for an encore? Well, you can take that innovative analog watch, add brass gears and cogs to the works inside it, wrap it in a beautiful bronze-clad case, add steel rivets, springs and screws, and turn it into one of the ultimate steampunk accessories, of course.
The Devon Tread 1 made waves when it was released, as its novel design uses four “interwoven time belts”, just 2 microns thick, which are driven by four microstep motors, powered by rechargeable lithium polymer batteries. But the steampunk version of the Tread is head and shoulders above the first one, at least as far as design details and style are concerned.
